Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed to improve your emotional well-being and interpersonal relationships. DBT skills include mindfulness practice, distress tolerance, emotion regulation skills, and assertiveness training. DBT teaches individuals to accept and tolerate intense emotions.
EMDR helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life events. This type of therapy helps the brain process these memories and allows normal healing to occur. It resolves unprocessed traumatic memories by using eye movements or sounds.
Parenting can be challenging. I work with parents to improve their ability to communicate and connect with their child, discipline effectively, and manage behavioral challenges. I consider each child's unique emotional and developmental needs when working with parents.
